I first started making comics as a way to make complex ideas more accessible to other people.

In 2018, I was exhausted by the prospect of writing yet another research paper in grad school, and identified comics as a great way to translate the Food Studies concepts I was learning into an accessible medium for non-academics. I initially created two zines on food topics—How to Eat and Hungry Womxn—and have since expanded my comics practice beyond food. My comics have been published by The Washington Post, sex education site Oh Joy Sex Toy, and the queer magazine A Bundle of Sticks. Currently, my zines can be purchased in-person at Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle and online through Wasted Ink Zine Distro.
