I first started making comics as a way to make complex ideas more accessible to other people.

In 2018, I was honestly exhausted by the prospect of writing another academic paper in grad school, and identified comics as a great way to translate all of the amazing Food Studies concepts I was learning into Normal Human English. I created two zines on food topics—How to Eat and Hungry Womxn—and have since expanded my comics practice beyond food to including exciting things like book reviews and boobs. My comics have been published by The Washington Post's publication The Lily, in the queer magazine  A Bundle of Sticks , and my zines are carried in small shops and bookstores nationally.
